Terms & Conditions
DEPOSITS. We ask you to send a £150 deposit by cheque or bank transfer within 4 days of the provisional booking, made payable to Messrs Chaplin-Brice. You may wish to consider taking out holiday insurance at the time of booking.
BALANCES. The balance is due six weeks before the arrival date.
CANCELLATIONS. In the event of a cancellation we cannot offer to return the final payment unless we manage to re-let the holiday week/s. Such a situation may be covered by your holiday insurance. (We will charge a 10% refund administration fee).
SHORT BREAKS. We offer short breaks out of the main season but a minimum of 2 nights must be booked. £75 per night. They can only be made 10 days prior to the holiday.
ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE TIMES. Rental period begins 3.30pm Saturday and ends 10am on Saturday of departure.
CLEANING. Cleaning materials are provided and guests are asked to leave the Old Hayloft as clean as they find it. (We reserve the right to charge guests for extra cleaning should the cottage require it on departure.)
DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES: We are sure that you will take care while you stay with us and accept that accidents sometimes happen. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages that you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
NON AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMMODATION: We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday but our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
LIABILITY: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
SMOKING. Guests are reminded that this is a NO SMOKING property.
PETS. A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted by arrangement. They must be kept under control at all times and we should remind you that the owner of the dog is responsible for any damage it causes to farm stock. If a dog is not properly controlled we reserve the right to ask that it be removed from the premises.
The accommodation is only available for up to four people.
MAILING LIST. We do not pass on or sell on our address book. Your details are confidential between ourselves.
Please note that any booking is accepted on the basis that it in no way forms part of any tenancy agreement.
