Our self-catering accommodation has been converted from an old hayloft. It is warm and double-glazed. It sleeps up to four people - in a twin room and with a sofa bed in the main room. There is ample car parking in the farmyard. This is a non smoking self-catering property.
We have equipped the property using local products. Much of the wooden furniture made by our son Jamie in his workshop at the farm, and the crockery by local potter Mary.
Keswick is some six miles away offering a full range of shops, pubs, and restaurants and for entertainment, museums, cinema and theatre.
We are on hand to offer advice on local information if you require.
The self-catering accommodation offers:
- A well equipped kitchen including a microwave
- TV and DVD
- Use of washing machine and tumble dryer
- Patio with furniture and barbecue area immediately outside
- Storage heaters
Our water comes from a nearby spring and is tested regularly...it's delicious!
Prices are inclusive of all electricity and heating costs, bed linen, towels, tea towels, dishcloths. Free use of shared washing machine and tumble dryer.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. However, not all our guests are dog lovers and we must ask you to respect this and avoid leaving traces such as dog hairs and wet paw marks on the walls. They must be kept under control at all times and we should remind you that the owner of the dog is responsible for any damage it causes to farm stock. If a dog is not properly controlled we reserve the right to ask that it be removed from the premises.
We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £150 and full settlement 6 weeks before your arrival. Please make cheques payable to Messrs Chaplin-Brice. BACs payments are also welcome.
So that we can prepare for our guests, we ask that you plan to arrive after 3.30pm and to depart before 10am at the end of your stay.
Last minute winter weekends and off-season breaks are a pleasure. If the Old Hayloft is available two weeks ahead for a minimum 3 nights stay. Please note that any booking is accepted on the basis that it in no way forms part of any tenancy agreement. Contact us directly to enquire about costs.
